The Association was chartered on January 20, 1995 with 164 members
present. It is a not-for-profit organization that was formed by county
residents to share and preserve the machines that were farm standards
during the last century. It is also very important to our association that
the Agriculture Heritage be enjoyed for many generations to come. We have
members from all backgrounds, walks of life, and all ages (birth to ???).
We pride ourselves as a quality association for our youngest to oldest
member, doing our utmost to accommodate each and every one. We are a
family orientated group, a place for all to be involved. We support the
4-H livestock auction, having purchased a 4-Her's? pig in past auctions.
We also sponsor the Champion and Reserve Champion trophy for Tractor
Maintenance Division in 4-H.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the association is to promote an appreciation of the
agricultural heritage of Hendricks County and the men and women that were
part of this history. It is the goal of the association to encourage the
collecting, restoration, and display of all makes and types of antique
agricultural equipment that was used in this area. The association will
also promote the preservation and recording of all other aspects of farm
life during the history of Hendricks County, and encourage the research of
all phases of rural life. It is the goal of the association to encourage
communication between the members and the general public about our
collections in particular and farm life in general.

HARVEST DAY : Wheat harvest (June or July): We will gather at the wheat field maintain on the north 40 of the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds with a binder or two, a thresher, hay press, a team of horses, wagons, and some tractors. We spend the day harvesting wheat the old fashioned way - a tractor and binder, gather the bundles on wagons pulled by the horse team or tractor, to the thresher, and use the hay press to clean up the straw. When finished we follow up with a pitch in dinner. Not the old-fashioned harvest day feast, but still a great meal. Event open for public viewing.
COUNTY FAIR :
July (Last full week of July): We provide our tractors & machinery to be part of the local county fair. This has been a positive event for the club as well as for the fair. During the fair we provide drivers for the Shuttle and Handicap Golf Cart to assist fairgoers to and from their cars.

daily activities, threshing and baling, games, parades, and raffle off a
pedal tractor.

the opportunity to use (play with) their tractors and plows. Event is open
to the public. Fun filled day followed by a pitch in.
